Serapis Mermaid Pillow Case Multicolor

Printed square pillow case from the ‘IN THIS EARTHLY TENT WE GROAN’ collection. The print features an image of a kitchen crew member of an LNG carrier showing his tattoo of a mermaid / woman hybrid. As he explains, the mermaid’s drawing apparent ‘mistake’ of having both a fishtail and walking legs symbolises the duality of the seafarer’s state between land and water. The numbers signal the beginning and end of his seafaring career on board ships spanning 16 years of voyages. Soft velour fabric in light grey colour on the back with Serapis Maritime rubber logo detail.
